We are the 2024 Restoration and Research team with the Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) at University of Oregon. The purpose of our team is to become stewards for the Restoration and Research project as this work has been occurring since 2015 and will be continued by future ELP students. For our project we are working with Whitewater Ranch in Leaburg, Oregon as well as University of Oregon’s Ponisio Lab. Through our partnership with Whitewater Ranch and the Ponisio Lab we will restore and manage riparian zones around Goose Creek, monitor and collect data regarding local pollinator populations following the Holiday Farm Fire, monitor and collect data surrounding the overall health and success of native species, as well as make preparations for future Restoration and Research ELP groups.
